Website Redesign Project

Minneapolis Public Schools is undergoing a comprehensive redesign of our district and school websites with the following goals: 

• A fresh, modern design that reflects our MPS community
• Restructured and reorganized content that prioritizes what prospective and current families need
• A modern, user-friendly content management system (CMS) for all district, department, school and program sites.

December 2022

As part of our initial discovery and engagement phase of the project, we surveyed our families, students, staff and community members about what they’re looking for in their district and school websites. We also worked with various parent/caregiver, student and staff groups to gather more targeted feedback.

Spring 2023

Utilizing the feedback we received, we are finalizing the district and school homepage designs and beginning to work on content with our schools and departments.

Fall 2023

After the start of the 2023-24 school year, we will work on finalizing website content and staff website editors will receive training on Finalsite's system.

December 2023

We're excited to launch our new website in December 2023.
