E-learning Days: Feb. 22-24
Tuesday, February 21, 2023 1:50 PM

Due to the upcoming winter storm, all MPS buildings will be closed and we will have e-learning days for all MPS students for the remainder of this week, Feb. 22 - 24, 2023. All MPS students should remain home for e-learning.

All MPS-sponsored and/or school-sponsored programs will be closed:

  • Minneapolis Kids
  • MPS Community Education classes
  • adult education classes
  • early childhood programs
  • athletics
  • all other activities and events
  • school board meetings scheduled for tonight, Feb. 21, have been canceled and will be rescheduled
  • parent-teacher conferences scheduled for today, Feb. 21, have been canceled and will be rescheduled

Although MPS is experiencing technical difficulties with some systems, technology that supports e-learning is still accessible and secure, including Google Meet, Google Classroom, SeeSaw, Clever, Teams and Outlook. More information will follow shortly with a more thorough update on MPS technology.

Making the decision to keep students home is never an easy one, and we support families’ decisions to do what is best for their children. If your child will be absent on any of the three e-learning days this week, follow your school’s normal attendance procedures.

You will receive communication from your school or teacher about e-learning activities, school start and end times, and teacher availability. If your student does not have access to their device, please contact your school principal immediately.

Check your school website or online platform for more information. View the Technology Support for Students & Families webpage for more information on e-learning. Additional support can be found on the e-learning page on The Source, and additional online activities can be found here

Thank you for your patience and support.
